Conventional Molders
[ Supplied with the MERRILL AIRDYNE or THERMODYNE Air dryer ] Series 2000 Full rotary molders with 1 to 2 forming platens. Electronically controlled mechanical drives of forming and transfer platens. Capable of 2000 / 3600 egg trays per hour or 145 to 245 kg of waste paper. Maximum product depth is 150 mm. A wet press station is optional. Series 6000 Full rotary molders with 4 forming platens. Electronically controlled mechanical drives of forming and transfer platens. Capable of 6000 egg trays per hour or 340 to 960 kg of waste paper. Maximum product depth is 90 mm as standard or 150mm for industrial packaging. A wet press station is optional. Series 14 000 Full rotary molders with 8 forming platens and 8 transfer platens. Electronically controlled mechanical drives of forming and transfer platens. Capable of 14 000 egg trays per hour or 1000 kg of waste paper. Maximum product depth is 70 mm. |
Thermoformer Molders
Series TF [Thermoformer]: Fully Electrical Rotary molders with “in-mold pressing / drying” technology. Electronically controlled mechanical drives. TF1 Series Fully automatic, complete stand alone plant with automated and adjustable stacker. Platen size 680 x 450 mm with quick change of molds, specially designed for industrial packaging and small production runs. Its single pressing/drying station allows minimum mold investment. Maximum molding height 150 mm. One operator can control up to 6 units. Capable of 30 kg of paper per hour. All controls are centralized and accessible via the “Touch screen” at the operator console. TF3 Series Fully automatic Thermoformer with large platen size 975 x 650 mm with quick change of molds. Twin drying / pressing platens designed for medium to large production runs for the egg, fruit and industrial packaging markets. Multi products can be manufactured simultanously. Its automated and adjustable stacker allows one operator to control 4 units. Maximum molding height 150 mm.Capable of 85 kg of paper per hour. All controls are centralized and accessible via the “Touch screen” at the operator console. |
Pulp Preparation and Storage
SPM offers a wide choice of equipment ranging from 25 to 1200 kg of waste paper per hour. Pulpers Low or high density pulpers are supplied in SPM Complete Plants. They are exclusively manufactured in stainless steel 304L and supplied with a weight cell coupled with an electronic scale. The waste paper is hoisted or conveyed into the Pulper. According to the quality level of the waste paper the plant can be completed with pulp cleaning devices such as Epurex Turbo Cleaner, High density cyclone or screen filter. Storage Stock & water are stored, mixed and distributed to the plant via a layout of stainless steel tanks and pipes. All controls are centralized and accessible via the “Touch screen” at the operator console. Vacuum Assembly A vacuum assembly is sized for every plant and includes a NASH Liquid Ring vacuum pump, a Sulzer cooling tower ,a vacuum separator with pumps and level controls. |
Airdyne Continuous Dryers
Merrill Airdyne dryer designs are used in the manufacture of all dryers sold with SPM conventional equipment. Single pass, top & bottom regulated air flow. Modular construction can incorporate 2 to 7 modules. The temperature and air flow of each of 9 m zones are individually controlled. All controls are accessible via the “Touch screen” at the operator console. The Merrill Airdyne dryers are supplied with the SPM exhaust heat recovery systems which make them the most energy efficient drying solutions available. Heated white water is circulating in a closed circuit from and to the storage tanks. Typical Gas consumption average 2.7 kW per kg of paper. |
